Chiropractors Offer Free Services to New Patients in Exchange for Food Donations

The annual food drive will benefit the Center for Food Action in Englewood

A Ridgefield chiropractor with strong Fort Lee ties recently announced his practice’s seventh annual food drive, offering a first day of services to new patients in exchange for non-perishable food items.

Dr. Michael Errichiello, who serves on the board of directors of the and is a member and two-time past president of the Fort Lee Rotary, said he and his partner at Chiropractic Healthcare Associates at Health One in Ridgefield, Dr. Vineta S. Zalite, are joining forces with Snap Fitness for the food drive this year.

“The food collected will be donated to the Center For Food Action in Englewood,” said Dr. Errichiello, who recently gained national attention for joining other members of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC) across the state in treating returning veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars for free. "Over the past six years, we have donated thousands of pounds of food to the CFA, which helps all our neighbors in need. They are the best local organization.”

The chiropractors are offering a case history, a complete examination and x-rays if necessary—a $195 value, they estimate—in exchange for a donation of at least 10 cans of food. The fitness center—also in Ridgefield—is offering a free month of services in exchange for 10 cans.

"Hopefully working together with Snap Fitness will bring about a greater awareness of the need to donate food to help our neighbors in this time of need," Dr. Zalite said.
