AN AFTERNOON OF GRAND OPERA

Fort Lee Library’s Summer Music Concert series continues with an afternoon of grand Opera to include beloved arias and duets by Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi, etc. We will welcome back THE ALLEGRO SINGERS featuring Celia Castro accompanied by Inna Leytush on the piano.

Celia Castro is a spinto soprano of Dominican-Puerto Rican heritage. Among her operatic roles are Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, the title role in Luisa Miller, Nedda in I Pagliacci and, Eva in Die Meistersingers. With One World Symphony she sang Vitellia in La Clemenza di Tito and she honed her bel canto skills at Caramoor Festival’s Young Artist Program. She was a soloist with Rutgers’ University Choir from which she recently graduated with a BA in music. She is currently performing in the tri-state area and teaching in her private voice studio in Edison, NJ. 

Inna Leytush, piano, music director, has a Bachelor’s Degree in music from a college affiliated with the State Moscow Conservatory and a Master’s Degree at the Gorky State Conservatory. She has participated in the 39th Concurs International de Chant de Toulouse, France; the 10th International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and the American Landmark Festivals.

Ms. Leytush worked as a director for Opera at Noon at Trinity Church for the concert version of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. She was the music director for a concert of Russian music at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall and the music director of RACH-C. She is the founder and music director of ALLEGRO SINGERS. Inna Leytush is an accomplished pianist who enjoys sharing the gift of music with others.

Admission is free, however seating is limited. Children under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult.
