KU IL OH TRIO (bass, piano and drums) returns to Fort Lee Library. Accompanied by jazz vocalist by Kristen Dziuba this "young-at-heart" band have formed a natural and personal music bond since they came together just four years ago. After a recital for pianist, Anthony Pocetti Ku and Anthony took private lessons together with Billy Drummond. It was during these lessons that Ku and Anthony held many conversations, played a lot of music together and shared their musical ideas and philosophies. Together, they found the musical concept for KU IL OH TRIO. John Bishop was called upon to be the drummer for the band while Ku and Anthony wrote and arranged original music for KU IL OH TRIO. They practiced and played together as many days (and nights) as possible until they understood each other’s playing better and better. KUILOH TRIO hired Dave Pollack as the alto saxophone player to record their debut album, “Wood Bridge” on November 30, 2010 in New Jersey with a Release Concert at Promise Theater, New York. All 12 melodic compositions were written and arranged by Ku Il Oh and Anthony Pocetti. The group’s fresh sound is, at times, reminiscent of Peanuts’ composer Vince Guaraldi. One year later, The Ku Il Oh Quartet released their second album, "Holiday Songs Volume 1". Their music has been described as "very fresh and feeling very young.” A relatively new group, they are looking forward to sharing their music with the rest of the world.
