This interactive program features soprano Ana Kouyoumdjian and the Harmonia Chamber Players as they explore the passionate and exhilarating art form of the Tango. Music by D'Anzi, Grever, Bottea, Serafin, Scheletti and Bizet will be presented. Elizabeth Kalfayan instructs and guides audiences in basic Tango dance steps and encourages the expression of the feelings in the music through interpretive movement improvisation. No partner required for this fun and imaginative experience.

Elizabeth Kalfayan is expecially known for her performance lectures that present the works and genius of the great composers for the violoncello including Schumann, Rachmaninov, Beethoven, and Shostakovich. With humor and a deep sense of the emotional and historical context, she takes the listener on a journey to the heart of music. A more intimate and personally enriching relationship with music is fostered.
