Fort Lee Man, 83, Charged In Hit-And-Run Crash
BREAKING: Hans Jochimsen hit a 57-year-old crossing Lemoine Avenue early Sunday morning, authorities said.

FORT LEE, N.J. — A Fort Lee man was charged with crashing into a man who was crossing Lemoine Avenue early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The Fort Lee Police Department received a report of a person struck a motor vehicle in front of 2152 Lemoine Ave. and officers determined that Hans Jochimsen, 83, struck Bryon Murphy, 57, from New York City, while he was crossing Lemoine Avenue, said Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
Murphy was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center where he remains in critical, but stable, condition, Grewal said.

Members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit and Fort Lee police officers determined that Jochimsen left the scene of the collision, the prosecutor said.
Jochimsen was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in serious bodily injury. He is due to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court March 3.
