Fort Lee Man Sexually Assaulted Girl Several Times: Prosecutor
Mauricio Ortez, 57, allegedly touched the girl on her intimate areas 'on several occasions, authorities said.

FORT LEE, NJ — A borough man was charged with sexual assault after authorities received information he touched a girl on her private areas on several occasions, authorities said.
Mauricio Ortez, 57, a married handyman, was charged with sexual assault by sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, both of the second-degree, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.
Fort Lee police received information Feb. 8 that a child "had been touched on her genital area and breasts on several occasions" by Ortez, Calo said in a news release.

The Bergen County Prosecutor' Office Special Victims Unit and the Fort Lee Police Department resulted in Ortez being arrested and charged June 15, Calo said.
Ortez was due to appear in Central Judicial Processing Court Monday morning.
