Fort Lee Police Don't Shave, Raise $17K For Cancer Research

The money was donated as part of the national No Shave November initiative.

FORT LEE, N.J. — The borough's police union raised slightly more than $17,000 for prostate cancer research as part of the national No Shave November campaign.

The $17,000 was the third highest amount taken in by a single group in the country for the campaign. More than 2,000 teams participated.

No Shave November is a nationwide initiative that raises money for prostate cancer and research. The American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital were some of the sponsoring organizations.
