GWB Jumper's Body Recovered From Hudson River

Man jumped off the bridge early Friday morning, authorities said.

FORT LEE, NJ - A man’s body was recovered from the Hudson River early Friday morning.

At about 1:50 a.m., a man in his mid-20s stopped his vehicle, a Volkswagen, on the bridge and jumped from the North walk near the New York tower, said Port Authority spokesman Joe Pentangelo.

The deceased man’s body was recovered from the base of the rocks near the tower, Pentangelo said.
