Man With Gravity Knife Arrested At GWB

Man was in a tractor-trailer with a fake license plate, police said.

FORT LEE, N.J. — A Florida man with a gravity knife was arrested at the upper level of the George Washington Bridge Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

A 2007 Freightliner tractor-trailer passed through the bridge toll without paying, said Joseph Pentangelo, Port Authority spokesman.

The tractor-trailer was pulled over and police discovered to be fake and not on file with motor vehicles, Pentangelo said.

The driver, Juan Campo Villada, 31, had a gravity knife; the tractor-trailer was unregistered and uninsured and impounded, Pentangelo said.

Villada was charged with weapons possession, theft of service, and theft by deception.
