Police Arrest 3 On GWB In 30-Minute Span
One vehicle had a fake license plate on it and another had no plate, Port Authority Police said.
FORT LEE, NJ — Police charged three people on the George Washington Bridge Monday morning with theft and toll evasion, authorities said.
Police saw Axel A. Jimenez, 27, of Rochelle Park, drive a Yamaha motorcycle through the EZPass-only lane at 7:36 a.m. without an EZPass transponder and no license plate, said Joseph Pentangelo, a Port Authority Police spokesman. Police stopped him and he was charged.
At 7:54 a.m., on the New York-bound lower level toll, police saw Steven Velez, 27, of Bogota drive a 2016 Suzuki motorcycle through an EZPass lane without paying the toll, Pentangelo said.

Police stopped Velez, who did not have a motorcycle license or an EZPass transponder, Pentangelo said. Additionally, the license plate on the motorcycle was bent upwards so it would not be seen by the toll camera, Pentangelo said.
At 8:06 a.m., Aaron E. Okon, 36, of Maryland, was stopped after he drove a maroon sedan throughout the EZPass toll without paying, Pentangelo said. Okon did not have an EZPass transponder and authorities determined that the vehicle's front license plate did not back the one on the back, which was fake, Pentangelo said.
