Police Arrest Man With $94,000 In Toll Violations, Fees

Sean T. Haluska, 43, had accumulated nearly 1,500 violations, police said.

Port Authority Police arrested a man who owes more than $94,000 in toll violations and fees.

Police saw Sean T. Haluska drive a 2011 Mazda sedan through an EZPass lane without paying the toll at the Outerbridge Crossing toll plaza Friday morning, said Joe Pentangelo, a Port Authority spokesman.

Haluska, 43, of Farmingdale, told police he did not have an EZPass account, Pentangelo said. Haluska's license was suspended and had been three previous times.

An investigation revealed that Haluska's EZPass account had nearly 1,500 open violations, Pentangelo said.

Haluska owes more than $94,600 in tolls and fees, authorities said. He was arrested and the Mazda was impounded.

Haluska was charged with obstructing governmental administration and petit larceny.
