Police: Body Of Transgendered GWB Jumper Not Found
Rachael Bryk, 23, jumped to her death April 23. She suffered from depression, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis.
The body of a 23-year-old transgendered woman who jumped to her death from the George Washington Bridge April 23 has not been found, authorities said.
Joe Pentangelo, a spokesman with the Port Authority Police Department said the investigation is ongoing.
Rachael Bryk’s mother, Lisa, told the Asbury Park Press that her daughter didn’t kill herself because she was bullied online about being transgendered.

“DO IT, if you’re such a weak willed thin skinned dip s**t then (expletive) do it,” read one message posted on an online message board to Byrk.
“That made it sound like she was weak and she was anything but weak, she was strong,” Lisa Bryk said. “She just couldn’t handle everything on top of it. Yes, she was harassed, yes she was bullied online, but the health condition was the number one reason.”
