Who Would Douse This Kitten With Motor Oil And Abandon Her?
The cat was found covered in motor oil inside a box that was tied shut in Fort Lee.

Authorities are trying to determine who would cover a kitten in motor oil, put her in a box, and abandon her to die.
The Bergen County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is taking care of Olive Oil after she was found by Fort Lee police late Monday night.
Olive Oil was found outside of a high-rise building on Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee Police told The Record. Authorities are examining a surveillance video from the area as part of their investigation.

Olive Oil was taken to Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus where she was x-rayed, cleaned, and treated. The expense of treating her falls to the Bergen SPCA.
The society launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $1,500 for Olive Oil's care.

"Emergency animal care is very expensive," the society said on the GoFundMe page. "It would mean so much to cover Olive's veterinary treatment and continued care."
The society is continuing its investigation and hopes to find the person responsible for abandoning Olive Oil, noting that the person would be prosecuted "to the fullest extent of the law."
