ADI Brings New Grocery Store To Monmouth County
Aldi will be opening a new grocery store in Freehold Township on March 24.
FREEHOLD, NJ — ALDI will open a new grocery store on Route 9 as part of the Freehold Mall shopping center's new changes.
The discount grocer, located at 3681 Route 9, will open at 9 a.m. on March 24, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. All customers will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a $500 Aldi gift card.
The new 21,000 square-foot store is located near businesses such as Freehold Music Center, Leslie's Pool Supplies, and Burlington.

Aspen Real Estate and joint venture partner Devli Real Estate purchased Freehold Mall in 2020. As a part of their plan to revamp the shopping center, Aspen announced improvements such as a new façade for the entire shopping center and new tenants.
“We are planning a new façade that we believe will result in a fully leased shopping center,” Aspen Principal, Phil Proetto, said.

ALDI currently operates over 2,100 stores in 37 states and is on track to become the third-largest grocery retailer in the United States by store count by the end of 2022.
“ALDI is one of America's fastest-growing retailers because we offer a convenient shopping experience for affordable, on-trend and sustainable goods,” Jeff Baehr, Frederick regional vice president for ALDI, said.
The new location will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
