www.crophungerwalk.org/freeholdnj. &nbsp;Hunger and food insecurity is a problem here and around the world. &nbsp;The Annual Freehold Area CROP&nbsp;Hunger Walk, sponsored by The Greater Freehold Clergy Association will be held on Sunday, October 18th, with registration and prizes being awarded at 1:30 and the walk stepping off at 2 PM. &nbsp;The route is 2.6 miles long in historic Freehold and there is also a mini-route. &nbsp;Register on the website and raise funds online. &nbsp;You or your business can appear on our t-shirt as a sponsor for a donation of $200. &nbsp;You can be a lawn sign sponsor for a donation of $1,000. &nbsp;You can join the NY Football Giants as a major event sponsor for a donation of $1500. &nbsp;Every walker receives a thank you t-shirt. &nbsp;Those who donate $100 or more will receive a gift card to 618 restaurant. &nbsp;Youth who walk and fundraise will receive service project credit. &nbsp;For more information about details and additional prizes, please check out the website, or contact Pastor Pat Medley, Walk Coordinator at 732-822-0711. &nbsp;In the event of inclement weather, just show up at the church, turn in your donations and collect your t-shirt. &nbsp;25% of the funds raised will return to support Freehold Area Open Door and the Emergency Housing and Advocacy Program. &nbsp;

With great enthusiasm, we invite you to join us on the Asbury Park&nbsp;Boardwalk for our 6thannual Walk In Their Shoes,&nbsp;on Sunday, November 8th,from 9amto 11am.Wewalk to support the residents, clientsandthe programs of Ocean’s Harbor House and bring awareness and honor the lives represented in November - National Youth HomelessnessAwareness Month.
When people hear "homeless youth," they sometimes picture a young person literally sleeping on the street. And yes, that happens. But youth homelessness can also look like sleeping on someone's couch, moving from house to house, staying somewhere unsafe because there is nowhere else to go, or turning 18 and suddenly realizing there is no stable adult or home to fall back on. At Ocean’s Harbor House, our goal isn't simply to give a young person somewhere to stay. We help them build a life they can sustain after they leave us.
Here, our programs help young people find a pathway toward stability and independence. But young people shouldn't have to navigate that pathway alone. Our job is to provide structure, support, accountability, and opportunity. The SHORE House, our Supervised Transitional Living Program, provides housing and support for young people ages 16–21 with services extending into young adulthood through our Aftercare Programs. Through our Life-Skills Development Initiative, we teach practical skills young adults actually need in financial, housing and leasing literacy, employment and professionalism, communication and self-advocacy, health and wellness support. Our Day Services and Harbor Hub provide a central location for young people seeking these supports, along with guidance and a welcoming space to connect. Our Harbor COMPASS Street Outreach meets our young people in need where they are in the community and in their lives, connecting them to immediate safety and essential services. Your support is an essential part of how that happens. Your contributions make an incredible difference in creating a pathway to hopeful and sustainable futures for the young people of our shared communities.
Join us, along with the incomparable Ocean Avenue Stompers, the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department, and our Monmouth and Ocean County community partners as we walk to support, to honor, to elevate, and to celebrate the young lives impacted through the 40-year mission and vision of Ocean’s Harbor House.
