MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — A “Code Blue” alert is set for Monmouth County, opening warming centers and shelters to those in need.
“Code Blue” is put in place when temperatures drop below freezing (32°F), and conditions pose a threat to unsheltered individuals.

According to Monmouth County Government, the current “Code Blue” alert will be in place from 6 p.m. on Monday until 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
If you or someone you know does not have shelter, here’s where they can go:

Monmouth County Division of Social Services: 3000 Kozloski Road, Freehold (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

Hope and Comfort Center: 166-168 Shrewsbury Avenue, Red Bank (Check-in begins at 5 p.m.)

Mercy Center: 901 Main Street, Asbury Park (Drop-in warming center, mobility-challenged adult individuals only)
