Prosecutors say he has been jailed since his arrest and will face a recommended 10-year prison term under New Jersey's No Early Release Act when he's sentenced in October.

NJ Tennis Star Kicks Off U.S. Open With Birthday Win (patch.com) — Freehold Township residents have extra reason to follow the U.S. Open as hometown-born tennis star Amanda Anisimova celebrated her 25th birthday with a straight-sets first-round win. The township publicly cheered her on as she advances to the second round, highlighting her local roots despite moving to Miami as a child.
3. A trusted teacher's downfall: Inside the case that ended with prison (mlive.com) — A former Freehold Intermediate School teacher has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student, a case prosecutors call one of Monmouth County's most serious educator misconduct prosecutions. The judge emphasized the deep breach of trust with Freehold families, and the defendant must register under Megan's Law, face lifetime supervision, and can never teach in public schools again.
4. Springsteen dad among veterans honored in Freehold with street signs (app.com) — Freehold will honor six local veterans, including Bruce Springsteen's late father Douglas, with special street sign toppers unveiled on Veterans Day at McLean and Randolph streets where the family once lived. The 43-year-old now faces a lengthy state prison term, must register under Megan's Law, and will remain under lifetime parole supervision.
