Borough Taking Sidewalk Improvement Project Applications

Residents will be included on a first come, first served basis.

Freehold Borough officials announced the municipality will undertake a sidewalk improvement project this fall. The program is designed to help residents correct any code deficiencies that may have resulted from uplifted tree roots, normal decay, and any other unsafe conditions.

The borough will pay half the expense of repairing the sidewalk and the resident will be responsible for the other half. The municipality will enter into an agreement with a qualified contractor to perform the work, and property owners will be advised of the cost before the sidewalk improvements begin.

Repairs are limited to deficiencies only, and residents will be included on a first come, first served basis.
