CHILDREN & FAMILIES INVITED TO "NEIGHBORHOOD TRUNK-OR-TREAT" AT THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE IN FREEHOLD

ACADEMY OF EARLY EDUCATION TO HOST SAFE HALLOWEEN EVENT OCT. 30

The Learning Experience® (TLE®), one of the nation’s fastest growing Academies of Early Education for children six weeks to five years old, in Freehold is hosting a safe Halloween-themed “Neighborhood Trunk-or-Treat” event on Friday, October 30, 2015, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at 3538 US Hwy 9 in Freehold, New Jersey.

At this free event open to the community, children will be saying “trunk or treat” instead of “trick or treat” as they participate in a fun alternative to the traditional door-to-door version of Halloween. Turning the backs of more than 10 cars, minivans, and sport utility vehicles into the new front porch, trunk-or-treating brings Halloween to the safety of TLE®’s parking lot, where children and parents can go from vehicle to vehicle to view decorated trunks, admire costumes and collect tasty treats. Halloween-inspired activities will include trunk decorating, bobbing for apples, and of course, a best decorated trunk contest!

The event will serve as a light-hearted environment for children and their parents to interact with community leaders and first responders including the Freehold police and fire departments, iPlay America, Pump It Up and Kona Ice. Additionally, a fire truck, police car, food truck, and blood donation truck will be onsite as “Touch-a-Trucks”, a hands-on opportunity to explore working trucks of all types and meet the people who build, protect and serve the community.
