Save the Date in July: Flavor of Freehold, Freehold Idol, Brew Crawl

Because the first-ever "Continuing the Celebration Week" in Downtown Freehold, which extended our nation's birthday festivities was so successful last year -- plans have been made to host it again this year.

Foodies and strollers will love the Flavor of Freehold, which returns on Tuesday, July 8 and Wednesday, July 9, from 5:30 to 8:15 pm.  Visitors will enjoy sampling a delectable variety of foods made fresh on each premises, and get to know service providers and retailers. 

Participants include: San Marzano, Alycia's Bistro, Court Jester, Metropolitan Cafe, American Hotel, Cafe 360, Freehold Jewelers, Ginger, A Little Bit of Cuba Dos, El Meson, Investors Bank, Especially For You Florist & Gift Shop, and Solo Trattoria. Tickets may be purchased at the Downtown Freehold office, 10 East Main Street, Suite 4A. Purchases before July 8th will also receive a $10.00 gift card to some of the participating businesses. A limited number of tickets are available for this event.

Also on Wednesday, July 9, "Idol" fans will enjoy watching -- and hearing -- singers compete in Freehold Idol in three age groups.  This event starts at 7:30 pm at the Hall of Records. 

New Jersey's number-one party band, Johnny Drama, will entertain the audience on Thursday, July 10 from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in front of the Hall of Records.

The celebration officially winds up on Friday, July 11, from 9:00 to 11:00 pm with the "Red, White & Brew Crawl," at the American Hotel, Court Jester, Federici's and Metropolitan Cafe. For $20.00, you will get the option of one glass of wine, one beer or one margarita at each location. Call (732) 333-0094 for ticket info on this event.
