Center Players Auditions: "Mr. 80%"

Sharon an attorney and Patricia who is a medical student advertise for a roommate to help pay the rent of their New York apartment. The two decide to specify either another woman or a gay male only. A struggling young comic, who with his partner, Jan is desperate to find an affordable place to live; desperate enough to pose as a homosexual, with Jan as his lover. The fact that Sharon and Patricia are taken in by the ruse leads to a series of hilarious misunderstandings.

The show will be directed by Amy Levine.

Actors are needed for the folling roles:

SHARON: female, Attorney, “straight man,” fragile.
PATRICIA: female, Doctor, “smart-ass.”
RONNIE: female, Therapist, quirky and cute.
SAM: male, Comic, neurotic, upbeat.
JAN: male, Comic, very dry humor.
LESLIE: male, Attorney, dry person.

Cold readings will be conducted from the script so knowledge of the show and its characters would be beneficial.

Please bring a list of any and all potential conflicts that might interfere with the rehearsal process.

Performances will be April 13 to May 6. Rehearsals will begin in late February and will be held two to three nights a week.
