Maurer Productions OnStage is bringing the award-winning Broadway musical Elton John & Tim Rice’s AIDA to the stage. This riveting, romantic pop/rock musical will appear at Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre in West Windsor, NJ November 18-27, 2011.
Winner of four Tony Awards when Disney’s Hyperion Theatrical Group first brought it to Broadway, Elton John & Tim Rice’s AIDA is set in ancient Egypt and tells the story of an enslaved Nubian princess, her conflicted Egyptian captor, and a forbidden love that rocks the ancient world to its core. Part Broadway musical, part dance spectacular and part rock concert, AIDA is an epic tale about the power and timelessness of love. (Rated PG)
Performances are Nov. 18, 25 at 8pm, Nov. 19, 26 at 2pm and 8pm, Nov. 20, 27 at 2pm at Kelsey Theatre on the West Windsor Campus of Mercer County Community College. 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor, NJ.
