Freehold Borough Recreation Commission Meeting

The Freehold Borough Recreation Commission is comprised of seven volunteer members who each serve a five-year term.  The Chair serves a one-year term and is appointed at the January Reorganization meeting.  During working hours, there is a full-time assistant to the Commission at Borough Hall who can be reached at 732-462-4200.  Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall.  The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend and participate.

The Mission of the Recreation Commission is to provide and/or support in a cost-effective manner, leisure time activities and facilities that reflect the needs of the community.  The Recreation Commission believes that recreation builds community pride when we have fun together. Therefore, the Commission hosts of financially assists other groups in staging various events and programs throughout the year.  Among these are the Easter Egg Hunt, Memorial Day Parade, Halloween Spooktacular, free concerts, holiday house decorating contest, Borough-wide yard sale, and many others.
