The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County is proud to present “Faces of Genius: Jewish American Nobel Laureates in Science and Medicine”, a lecture and slide presentation created by the staff of the Museum, on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2 PM. Admission is $5.00 for members, $7.00 for non-members, free to students.
Although the Jewish population of the world is only .02%, Jews have garnered 23% of awarded Nobel Prizes in every discipline since their inception in 1905. The Museum staff has crafted a lecture with slides embracing ten Jewish Nobel Laureates in the field of science. Included in the presentation will be Albert Einstein, Melvin Calvin, Richard Feynman, Arno Alan Pienzas, Gerty Cori, Marshall Warren Nirenberg, Rosalyn Sussman Yalow, Selman Waksman, Gerald Edelman, and Gertrude Elion. The discussion will focus on their private lives and their contributions.
