Dr. Russell Brokstein grew up in Freehold, NJ and after graduating from Freehold Boro High School he left for The Pennsylvania State University to further his education. Upon receiving his degree in Biology he decided he wanted to help people be pain free and healthy naturally by pursuing a degree in chiropractic.
"When I first went to Penn State I was in the Pre-Med program and was thinking to myself there has to be a better when to help patients than prescribing medications and surgery. The medications at best mask symptoms and have many harmful side effects. The surgeries have very low outcomes with severe risks too. Fortunately when I spoke to the Dean of Premed, the first thing he recommended was that I be open to looking into chiropractic. It was the best advice I had received."
After attending Life Chiropractic College outside of Atlanta, Ga, Dr. Brokstein decided to move back north but wasn't sure where he wanted to practice. After several years of working as an associate, he started looking for practices to possibly purchase and it just seemed fate had it that there was a practice right in Freehold Boro. Dr. Brokstein took over the practice exactly 9 years ago on May 21, 2005.
"I was so happy to return home and give back to the community I grew up in. Educating the public on natural health and wellness, improving lives, and allowing people to enjoy their normal daily activities. Coming home made it easy to name the practice: Hometown Family Wellness Center! It's always nice getting the phone call from somebody I knew growing up and even some teachers who recognized my name and just stop by to catch up. I look forward to many more years helping the people of Freehold and surrounding towns."
To celebrate the first 9 years of Hometown Family Wellness Center, Dr. Brokstein is inviting you or anybody you know that might be suffering in pain or looking to improve their health naturally to come in for a complimentary consultation and exam.
