Freehold Township Brush Cleanup Begins Monday

Cleanup in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Isaias begins today. Here's what to expect:

FREEHOLD, NJ – Nearly one week after Tropical Storm Isaias rattled the state, Freehold Township will begin a municipality-wide brush cleanup.

Collection will begin on Monday, Aug. 10, limited to branches and small limbs. Trunks of downed trees, even if cut up, should not be placed at the curb for pickup, according to a Sunday social media post from the township. Instead, large trunks should be towed away by a contractor.

The collection will begin on Monday in Secor A and continue throughout each sector in the area until cleanup is over.

“All residents should plan to have their brush at the curb by Monday to avoid missing the collection,” the township wrote. “The crews will not return once they have completed a Sector.”
