Freehold Township Seniors Go to Washington

Members of the Senior Center toured the U.S. Capitol and other historic sites.

The Freehold Township Senior Center organized a four-day trip to Washington, D.C., which culminated with a tour of the U.S. Capitol with Rep. Chris Smith, R-Hamilton.

“We saw the original Supreme Court building, Arlington National Cemetery, and every monument,” said Freehold Township Committeeman Eugene Golub, who was joined on the trip by his wife, Senior Center Director Arlene Golub, and Committeewoman Barbara McMorrow.

During the visit to the Capitol, the group of over 40 Freehold residents observed the U.S. House of Representatives in session and later took a photo with Smith on the Capitol steps.
