Helping Children Lose Weight by Learning to Eat Healthier

With the pediatric obesity epidemic growing, many parents don't know how to change their children's eating habits to make them and their entire family healthier.  At Fresh Future, our goal is to motivate overweight children and adults to make changes in their habits to improve their weight, overall health, and self-esteem.  Children learn how to balance their diet and eat healthy portion sizes, while enjoying the foods they normally eat.

Over the past year, I worked with a teenager who has been very successful on her weight loss journey.  Juliana Nuzzi, writes, "At the end of middle school going into high school I always hung out with the petite skinny girls, I was considered the "chubby" petite girl. My weight always fluctuated and finally, when my sweet 16 was coming around, I lost 15 pounds by eating somewhat healthy and going to the gym 4-5 days a week.  Right after my party, I slowly started to gain the weight back. Before I knew it, I was back to my old self. Only this time, I gained 27 pounds. My weight never really bothered me or at least I never showed that it did. My mom one day randomly took me for a blood test and that's when I found out I developed high cholesterol. I realized it was time to change my lifestyle. I am now down a total of 38 pounds thanks to Dr. Jill Sharon and couldn't be happier. I've made a complete life change, I put my heart and soul into every single workout and I've learned to enjoy the time I spend at the gym."
