New Trader Joe's In Freehold Announces Opening Date
Shoppers can expect a ribbon cutting ceremony, music and giveaways when the new location opens this week.

FREEHOLD, NJ - The long-awaited Trader Joe’s Freehold location will open its doors for business starting this week.
The store's grand opening will take place on Friday, Oct. 2 at 7:55 a.m. at 4331 Route 9 in Freehold. Eager Friday morning shoppers can expect a brief ceremonial ribbon cutting will take place, slated to continue with music and giveaways once the store opens at 8 a.m.
The Route 9 location marks the 19th Trader Joe’s location in New Jersey and the first ever in Freehold Township.

Store Captain Casey Latsko, a 14-year company veteran, will be at the ceremony to welcome customers to the new location. Like all Trader Joe’s locations, the nearly 10,000 square foot store has implemented a number of social distancing measures to keep both employees and customers safe, according to a press release.
The store will offer ample parking spaces and feature artwork that features Freehold’s rich history, including the Metz Bicycle Museum, Turkey Swamp Park, the Freehold Diner and the Hall of Records. The store will be open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily.
