NJ Rockstar To Headline Concert Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary

The concert will "bring people together to celebrate the spirit, creativity and freedom that define our country," County Clerk Hanlon said.

FREEHOLD, NJ — An iconic New Jersey rockstar is set to visit Freehold this summer when he headlines "MonmouthNJ 250: The Concert."

Hosted in collaboration with Monmouth County Tourism, MonmouthNJ 250, and the Count Basie Center for the Arts, Little Steven (AKA Steven Van Zandt – a member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band) will perform at ParkStage on Friday, July 3, when the concert takes place.

  • Jake Clemons Band
  • Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers with Gary U.S. Bonds
  • Low Cut Connie
  • The Weeklings

Tickets will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. and will be available on the ParkStage website and Ticketmaster.

“MonmouthNJ 250: The Concert is exactly the kind of signature event that defines what ParkStage and Monmouth County are all about,” said Commissioner Director Thomas Arnone.

“With this incredible lineup and the launch of ParkStage, we’re creating a landmark celebration that will bring thousands of visitors to our county, ignite tourism, and deliver a strong boost to our local economy,” he continued. “Monmouth County is truly taking center stage this summer.”

As part of Monmouth County’s lineup of events to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S., MonmouthNJ 250: The Concert will be “one of the summer’s most anticipated celebrations,” officials said.

Additional event details will be announced in the coming months. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as the show is expected to sell quickly.

“As we mark the 250th birthday of our nation, this concert is a powerful reminder that America’s story is told not just through history books, but through music, culture and shared experiences, and here in Monmouth County, through a legacy rooted in the fight for independence,” County Clerk Christine Hanlon said. “MonmouthNJ 250: The Concert brings people together to celebrate the spirit, creativity and freedom that define our country.”

Centrally located in one of NJ’s fastest-growing population corridors, ParkStage is set at the East Freehold Fairgrounds and was announced over the summer as part of the Count Basie Center for the Arts’ Centennial Celebration.

Since the launch of the venue, a variety of performances have been announced for ParkStage’s summer lineup, with MonmouthNJ 250: The Concert added as the latest performance.
