News of Dark Star Orchestra and Lake Street Dive coming to ParkStage follows news of Sublime, the Head and the Heart and the B-52s playing there in June and July.

Located at the East Freehold Fairgrounds (home of the annual Monmouth County Fair), ParkStage itself was announced in Summer 2025 as part of the Count Basie Center for the Arts’ Centennial Celebration.

According to Adam Philipson, the president and CEO of the Basie Center, the new venue is a meaningful part of the centennial, which looks to honor “where we’ve been and look ahead to what’s possible.”

“It reflects our belief in the power of the arts to bring people together, support the local economy, and create moments of joy for everyone in our community," he said.

Centrally located in one of NJ’s fastest-growing population corridors, officials said ParkStage offers easy access via all major roadways with free on-site parking and luxury VIP accommodations.

As part of Monmouth County’s larger effort to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S., as well as the Basie Center’s centennial, officials said ParkStage will become “a marquee destination” for live entertainment in New Jersey, drawing thousands of attendees to a variety of shows including music, comedy and more.

The new venue will also offer fans a number of ticketing options, including elevated VIP platforms, an upfront pit section, and a vast general admissions area.

More information will be shared at the site, as well as the venue’s socials, as additional shows are announced this winter and spring.
