Seasonable Conditions Continue

Seasonable and comfortable weather conditions will continue to be in place through this week even with a few passing showers and isolated thunderstorms.  The Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas will remain under the influence of a northwesterly wind pattern aloft through tomorrow, securing tranquil conditions for most.

Today through tomorrow, scattered to broken cloud cover is expected.  A few isolated showers and thunderstorms will be a threat for the region, however most locations will remain dry.  The strongest thunderstorm will be capable of wind gusts over 40 mph, small hail, heavy downpours, and frequent lightning.  Winds will veer from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph to the north tonight and then veer to the southeast at 5 to 10 mph by tomorrow.  Temperatures will range from the upper 60's to lower 70s for highs, mid 60's along the immediate coast and Long Island and mid to upper 40's for lows.

On Thursday, a warm front will approach with periods of showers and thunderstorms.  The thunderstorms will be capable of very heavy downpours, frequent lightning, wind gusts over 40 mph, and hail.  Temperatures will range from the upper 40's to lower 50's for lows and upper 60's to lower 70's for highs.
