The Court Jester: 34 Years of Fun

Eat well without traveling far.

I don't judge a book by it's cover, but I think you can go ahead and take note of how long a restaurant has been around and draw some conclusions from there. Take the Court Jester, in Freehold, for example. The restaurant has been around for over 34 years and is still serving up good food, drink and times.

Located on East Main Street in Freehold, The Court Jester is open everyday from 11:30 a.m. till 2:00 a.m. Happy hour runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and boasts inexpensive bar goodies along with affordable drink specials. While there, make sure you try some of their specialty drinks, like Hawaiian punch, hurricane, electric lemonade and the dropper.

But what's a good drink without some food to wash down with it? Try favorites such as the buffalo wings or shrimp, Texas chips, BBQ chipotle steak wrap, the half-pound Jester burger, California chicken cheeseburger, Jersey devil, roadkill or Kansas City steak.

Not just for adults, the Court Jester also has an ample children's menu complete with hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken fingers, spaghetti and shirley temples.

If, after all that, you still have some room left over, dip into some homemade rice pudding or the unforgettable peanut butter pie.
