Unsettled but mild conditions through next week

A series of disturbances will rotate through the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas today on through Wednesday with a threat for widely scattered to isolated showers and thunderstorms each day.  However, while a shower will be a threat, most locations can expected scattered clouds and mild conditions.

Today through tomorrow, scattered cloud cover can be expected with a few isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms a threat.  The thunderstorms will be capable of brief heavy downpours, frequent lightning, wind gusts over 40 mph, and small hail.  However, most locations can expect just scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the west and southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the upper 60's to lower 70's for highs and upper 40's to lower 50's for lows.

A slow moving warm front will produce periods of wide spread showers and thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the lower to mid 50's for lows and lower to mid 70's for highs.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the mid to upper 50's for lows and upper 70's to lower 80's for highs.
