Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Monmouth County
The lucky winner was one of 7 in N.J. in Wednesday's drawing; Saturday's jackpot is expected to exceed $700 millon.

UPPER FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ -- It wasn’t the big winner, but someone who bought their Powerball tickets in Monmouth County is about to receive a nice little payout.
State officials said there were seven $50,000 third-prize winning Powerball tickets sold in New Jersey for Wednesday’s drawing, and one of them was sold in Cream Ridge, in Upper Freehold Township.
The winners matched four white balls and the Powerball, according to New Jersey Lottery officials, and the Monmouth County ticket was sold at Creamridge General Store, 794 Route 537 W., Cream Ridge.

Six other third-place winners were sold, at the following locations:
- $150,000 – The Wine Rack, Sutton Plaza, 293 Route 206, Unit 4, Flanders in Morris County; this ticket was purchased with the Powerplay option, where for an additional fee, any amount won is multiplied; the multiplier in this drawing was 3;
- $50.000 – 7-Eleven #29776 (N), 272 Liberty St., Little Ferry in Bergen County
- $50,000 – Eickhoff Burlington Associates, 1817 Mt. Holly Rd., Burlington Twp., Burlington County;
- $50,000 – Rite Aid #4045, 1434 S. Black Horse Pike, Williamstown in Gloucester County;
- $50,000 – K & S Delicatessen LLC, 299 Danforth Ave., Jersey City in Hudson County;
- $50,000 -- 7-Eleven #35894, 375 Brick Blvd., Brick in Ocean County.
In addition, there were 347,833 New Jersey players who won smaller prizes ranging from $4 to $300, Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger said.

The next drawing will be Saturday, Jan. 9, according to Powerball officials; the jackpot is expected to exceed $700 million by then.
