1 Dog Found Dead, Another Starving At Atlantic Co. Home: Prosecutor

MULLICA, NJ — An Atlantic County man was charged with animal cruelty after one dog was found dead and another malnourished at his home, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
John Roblin, 50, of Mullica, was charged with two counts of third-degree animal cruelty and two counts of disorder persons failure to provide pets with adequate shelter, officials said.
Police went to Roblin's home after receiving a tip that he wasn't adequately taking care of his dogs, officials said.

At his home, police found the body of a dead dog and another "severely malnourished" dog in Roblin's yard, officials said.
The dead dog appeared to die of starvation, officials said.

The living dog was taken to the county animal shelter where a veterinarian treated it for malnutrition and a skin condition, according to officials.
The charges were the result of a joint investigation between the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office's Animal Cruelty Unit and the Mullica Township Police Department.
