1 Killed In Fiery Crash In Galloway: Police
One person was killed after their car struck a utility pole and caught fire in Galloway Monday afternoon, police said.
GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — One person was killed in a fiery crash in Galloway Township Monday afternoon, despite efforts by police and two citizens to save them, police said.
A car crashed into a utility pole on Wrangleboro Road in the area of Walden Way at about 3 p.m. Monday afternoon, June 24, Galloway Township police said.
Upon arrival, police found a 2002 Saturn engulfed in flames with the driver still inside. Officers and two citizens attempted to rescue the driver, but were unsuccessful, police said on Monday night.

The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene, police said. Their identity has not been revealed, pending notification of next-of-kin.
Wrangleboro Road was closed for three hours during the initial investigation. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to Officer Garrison or SFC. Goehringer at 609-652-3705.
