4 Confirmed Dead In NJ Home Explosion; Infant Critically Injured
Officials said a fourth body has been recovered after a home exploded Thursday in Atlantic County. An infant is still in critical condition.

BUENA, NJ — A fourth person has been confirmed dead after a house explosion Thursday in Atlantic County, which also left a baby girl in critical condition, according to reports.
Officials recovered the remaining two bodies Friday, according to CBS Philadelphia. Authorities are treating the explosion and resulting fire in Buena as a criminal matter, and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office has taken the lead on the investigation.
A total of six people were in the home, officials have indicated. Two survived. Four were still inside the home: a 2-year-old boy, a 3-year-old girl, and two men aged 52 and 73, according to 6ABC.

Officials have not released the victims’ names, or said whether they are related. Officials also have not yet indicated a cause for the explosion.

A 1-year-old girl and a 16-year-old were both pulled from the rubble with burn injuries, and flown to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. The infant was reportedly in critical condition, and the teen in stable condition, per 6ABC.
Franklin Township Police said the investigation on-scene would continue for several days.
Chief Matthew DeCesari told media the residence was fully engulfed when he arrived to the scene.
"All indications are that this thing went up very fast and it was a lot to try to fight," NBC10 quoted him as saying.
Several other homes nearby were also damaged, per the Associated Press. No other injuries have been reported.
