5-Year-Old Airlifted After Being Hit By Car In Atlantic City: Police
The 5-year-old was seriously injured after being struck by a car last week, police said.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A 5-year-old was flown to the hospital after being struck by a car in Atlantic City last week, police said.
The child was hit shortly before 6 p.m. on Oct. 4 at the 2600 block of Fairmount Avenue, Atlantic City police said.
The child was seriously injured, but the injuries were not life-threatening, police said. They were taken by helicopter to Cooper University Hospital, and the child's current status is not known.

The driver remained on scene and was not injured, police said. No charges have been filed against the driver as of Tuesday afternoon, according to a NJ.com report.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is assisting in this investigation.
