500 Heroin Bags Seized In One Jersey Shore Town In 2 Days: Cops

Police said they seized more than 500 bags of heroin in one Jersey Shore town in two days, plus surgical masks and other drug-dealing items.

Police said they seized more than 500 bags of heroin in one Jersey Shore town in two days.

Three men were arrested Friday in Atlantic City, and police seized 297 individual bags of heroin and about 16.5 grams of cocaine. Police bused another two men Thursday and seized 277 bags of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized, police said.

Also seized on Thursday were items used to manufacture heroin: surgical masks, rubber gloves, cellophane bags, digital scales, rubber bands, a grinder and empty wax folds, according to a release from the Atlantic City Police Department.

Police discovered the Thursday supply of drugs after stopping a vehicle in the 1800 block of Hummock Avenue at 4:51 p.m. Dupree Holloway, 26, and Dominic White, 28, both of Atlantic City, possessed marijuana, but police also found 277 bags of heroin in the vehicle, police said.

Holloway and White were arrested and charged with drug possession and intent to distribute. Both were placed in Atlantic County Jail on $75,000 bail.

Police stopped a vehicle Friday on the 1800 block of McKinley Avenue at 5:56 p.m. after it nearly hit a bicyclist, police said. The officers seized 297 individual bags of heroin and about 16.5 grams of cocaine in the vehicle in that bust.

Michael Buckman, 31, of Hammonton, was charged with possession of heroin and cocaine, two counts of possession with intent to distribute, and possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school. He was taken to the Atlantic County jail, and bail was set at $100,000.

Also charged were:

  • Tyrone Nelson, 31, of Atlantic City: possession of heroin and cocaine, possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school. He was taken to the Atlantic County jail, and bail was set at $100,000.
  • Abdul Allah, 23, of Woodbridge, Virginia: possession of heroin and cocaine, possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school. He was taken to the Atlantic County jail, and bail was set at $75,000.
