Absegami Graduate Presented With Financial Literacy Scholarship

Victoria Lynn Hillesheim will attend St. Joseph's University in the fall.

A recent graduate was presented with a Financial Literacy Scholarship worth $5,000 from this week, the bank announced on Tuesday, July 31.

Victoria Hillesheim, who will attend St. Joesph's University this fall, was one of 17 students in the country to receive the college scholarship, according to TD Bank representatives. Each student who earned the scholarship was the recipient of $5,000, according to the bank.

The scholarship is granted to high school seniors annually. Students must have completed a financial literacy course in high school, and be a graduating high school senior going to college to receive the scholarship.

“At TD Bank, we believe education is paramount to future success,” said TD Bank Retail Market Manager Jeff Dolan, who presented the scholarship to Hillesheim.  “On behalf of the Financial Services Roundtable, we are proud to present this scholarship to Victoria and wish her the best as she enters college.”

According to TD Bank officials, the Financial Services Roundtable represents 100 of the largest integrated financial services companies providing banking and insurance, as well as investment products and services to the American consumer. Member companies participate through the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other senior executives nominated by the CEO, according to the bank.
