Atlantic City PD Seeks Help Identifying Body Found In Ocean

Fingerprint analysis proved inconclusive for the man found in the water Oct. 15, police said.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Police haven't been able to identify the body of a man found Oct. 15 in the ocean. The Atlantic City Police Department asked the public for help Monday.

  • Police have identified the following characteristics:
  • Adult male
  • Light skin (unknown race or ethnicity)
  • Over 40 years old
  • 5 feet, 3 inches tall
  • 150 pounds with a lean build
  • No teeth (has not had them for a period of time)
  • Eight-inch vertical scar on stomach
  • Wearing a size small Comme Ca ISM Foxes Co. LTD short-sleeve collared button down shirt with tan vertical pinstripes

Police found the man's body at 12:27 p.m. Oct. 15. He was stuck in the jetty in the ocean, police said. The Atlantic City Fire Department worked for several hours to remove him. Read more: Body Found On Atlantic City Beach: Cops

ACPD has worked with the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office to identify him. Fingerprint analysis was inconclusive.
