Atlantic County To Test Asymptomatic Residents For Coronavirus

NORTHFIELD, NJ — Atlantic County will now test asymptomatic patients for the coronavirus. Proof of county residence remains required, but patients will no longer need a prescription for testing.

The county will next test residents from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at Route 9 and Dolphin Avenue in Northfield, behind the Atlantic County Public Works Building. Appointments are required and can be made online at www.aclink.org.

To get test, you must:

• be a resident of Atlantic County
• read and accept the consent form that is part of registration page
• have a scheduled appointment that you will make in the next step

Tests are free. Residents with appointments must arrive in a vehicle. If you don't drive, someone else can drive you. Minors must arrive with a parent or guardian, who must prove they're an Atlantic County resident.

Atlantic County has reported 3,072 total cases and 1,668 people cleared as of Friday afternoon. State officials have reported 214 confirmed deaths and 15 probable deaths in Atlantic County as of Friday.
