AtlantiCare Sets Up 'Triage' Tents During NJ Coronavirus Spread
AtlantiCare will only use them for screening if there's an increase in patients showing symptoms of the flu or coronavirus.
GALLOWAY, NJ — AtlantiCare set up "triage" tents Saturday at its Mainland and Mainland facilities. The hospitals will only use them if they see an increase in patients seek care for the flue or coronavirus, including COVID-19.
The facilities would use the tents for screening symptoms and treat anyone who requires further evaluation appropriately.

Additionally, AtlantiCare banned visitors at its hospitals in Galloway and Atlantic City and its satellite emergency department in Hammonton. They will enforce the policy until further notice, with limited exceptions of:
- hospice and end-of-life care, on a case-by-case basis
- maternity, pediatric an emergency patients may have one visitor or support person
- patients having same-day outpatient surgeries or other procedures and tests may have one visitor or support person
AtlantiCare will screen visitors who meet the above expectations for symptoms of flu, coronaviruses or other illnesses.
