BOE Committees Decided at Reorg Meeting

Recently re-elected Galloway Township Board of Education member Ernest Huggard was unanimously selected to reprise his role of school board president at Monday night’s reorganization meeting, held at the Galloway Township Middle School.

George Schwenger was once again selected to serve as the board’s vice president.

Huggard was nominated by board member John Knorr, who served as board president for the last year. Prior to that, Huggard had served as board president for several years. He wasn’t elected in 2010, and Knorr was chosen to serve as president.

Knorr and Schwenger were re-elected in this year's , and Huggard was voted back onto the board after a one-year hiatus.

Huggard didn’t waste any time appointing board members to committees, as he did so Monday night.

Those committees are as follows:

Affirmative Action (Administrative): Suzette Cordero and Kathy Styles-Landgraf

Child Care Program Council (Administrative): Kathy Styles-Landgraf and Beverly Evensen

Education Foundation (Board): John Knorr

Facilities Committee (Board): Robert Iannacone will serve as Chairperson, and will be on the committee with George Schwenger and Suzette Cordero.

Family Life Advisory Committee (Administrative): Kathy Styles-Landgraf and Suzette Cordero

Finance Committee (Board): John Knorr will serve as Chairperson, and will be on the committee with Richard Dase and Rosemary Hollway.

Government Liaison Committee (Board): Richard Dase will serve as Chairperson, and will be on the committee with Beverly Evensen and Kathy Styles-Landgraf.

Negotiations Committee (Board): Robert Iannacone will serve as Chairperson, and will be on the committee with Suzette Cordero and John Knorr.

NJSBA/County Association (Board): Robert Iannacone (Delegate); Richard Dase (Alternate)

Nutrition Committee (Administrative): Beverly Evensen and Rosemary Hollway

Policy Committee (Board): Kathy Styles-Landgraf will serve as the Chairperson, and will be on the committee with Beverly Evensen and Rosemary Hollway

Safety Committee (Administrative): Beverly Evensen and Rosemary Hollway

Technology Committee (Board): George Schwenger will serve as Chairperson, and will be on the committee with Suzette Cordero and Ernest Huggard.

Non-voting seat on the Galloway Township Planning Board (Board): Richard Dase

Non-voting seat on the Galloway Township Zoning Board (Board): Robert Iannacone
