Boy Found Shot to Death in Pleasantville Field

A Pleasantville man was found shot to death in an open field last week, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain said Monday night.

Police found the body of a boy in the field on the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue in Max Manning Park after responding to a report of a body found lying in a field on Friday, Aug. 7.

An autopsy performed Saturday morning determined the cause of death was gunshot wounds, and the death has been deemed a homicide.

Next-of-kin has been notified.
