Budget Workshop Postponed

will hold a budget workshop next Tuesday night, April 10 at 5 p.m., prior to that night's council meeting.

The workshop was previously tentatively scheduled for a special meeting to be held Tuesday night, April 3, but the township was unable to advertise with enough advance notice legally required, so the meeting was moved, according to Township Manager Arch Liston.

Council held a public presentation on the budget at the council meeting on , when it initially decided to hold the special meeting.

The council will discuss its proposed $24.2 million , which calls for a 1.7 cent tax increase, meaning Galloway residents with homes assessed at $100,000 would see an annual increase of $17 in taxes.

The public hearing for the budget is scheduled for April 24.
