Cops Arrest Man Wanted For Sexual Assault Of Child 19 Years Ago
Atlantic County Sheriff's Department detective catches up with man wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child 19 years ago

ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ - Persistance pays off.
An Atlantic County Sheriff's Office detective recently caught up with a man wanted for the past 19 years for the aggravated sexual assault of a minor.
Detective Anthony Branca of the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Squad arrested Israel Ramos, 50, in Philadelphia on April 5. Ramos was wanted by the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office for the past 19 years for the aggravated sexual assault of a minor, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual assault, according to a release from the department.

Ramos was also wanted in Cumberland County for unlawful possession of a weapon/handgun and aggravated assault with firearm/threats of violence.
The Sheriff's Department credited Branca with Ramos' capture.

"His methodical tactics and relentless persistence lead to the arrest of this high profile violent criminal," the release states. "Detective Branca worked with multiple state, county and municipal police agencies during his investigation."
Ramos was found in Philadelphia. He attempted to flee the scene, but was apprehended by Branca, along with members of the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, the New Jersey State Police and the Philadelphia Police.
Israel Ramos has been living his life as Juan Vasquez-Perez. He had obtained a driver’s license and Social Security card with the alias Vasquez-Perez and was employed at the Advanced Auto Parts store in Philadelphia, authorities said.
