District 9 Representatives to Appear at Council Meeting Tonight

Carol Hackney officially takes over as Registrar of Vital Statistics, new police officers will be introduced and K-9 Officer Kevin Welsh gets a new partner.

Galloway Township's new representatives from District 9 will be in attendance at the council meeting tonight, July 26, beginning at 6:30, according to the agenda for the council meeting posted on the township's website.

Connors, Rumpf and Gove became Galloway's representatives when the township was redistricted out of earlier this year.

Also at tonight's council meeting, a resolution is to be voted on appointing Acting Township Clerk Carol Hackney to take over as Registrar of Vital Statistics follow the resignation of at last July 18's special meeting.

A resolution will also be considered that would authorize the signature of Deputy Mayor Don Purdy in the absence of Mayor Keith Hartman.
