Donna Higbee Named Acting Galloway Police Chief

Pat Moran has retired as Galloway Police Chief, and his replacement is the first female chief in the history of the Galloway Police Department, The Press of Atlantic City reports.
Moran retired on Monday after a 25-year career in law enforcement. Donna Higbee has been named Acting Police Chief, according to the report.
Higbee, a 13-year veteran of the police department, was promoted from sergeant to the position of first female lieutenant in January. Her father, John Higbee, was an officer for 27 years, and retired in 1999, according to the report.
